I think the idea of creation is a ridiculous feat. Whether you believe in a higher power or just the big bang, you can’t deny that there is a level of intricacy that went into the creation of the universe that is impossible to comprehend. Just yesterday I was talking with a friend about how crazy reflection is.
I swear I’m not high, just bear with me.
The idea of a surface bending light in such a way that it will show what is in front of it blows my mind. The idea that matter cannot be created or destroyed (no matter what you think disproves this law, it holds up) is even more impressive. So “creation” isn’t really creation at all. It’s more like transformation. Raw earth is transformed into steel beams for architecture. Food is ingested to create and power new cells, and ultimately new life. As living, breathing humans we are nothing more than the reconfiguration of cells and nutrients.
Everything in the universe is related one way or another, and it’s really easy for us to get so wrapped up in our own life that we forget how intertwined we really are with everything around us. The world, and the way it is set up to work is absolutely beautiful. Think about how the planets have orbited around the sun for thousands and thousands of years, and not once have they collided. That’s a level of planning that is higher than any one of us could ever imagine, and I cant help but be amazed whenever I take the time to slow down and think about it all.
